Drawing Tool

Sketch traffic arrangements straight onto the Infrakit map. Annotations stay anchored to the ground as you pan and zoom.

⚠
43 signs, also in rowsRoadworks: warning, prohibitory and mandatory signs, barriers and speed limits. Site safety: assembly point, first aid, AED, eyewash, emergency phone, escape route, fire extinguisher, alarm call point and PPE. Site facilities: parking, site gate, site power, water point and fire hydrant. Draw a line or polyline and any sign, such as a lamella, repeats along it at a set spacing in metres, standing upright or turning with the line, mirrorable
🚧
Machines and site objects at true sizeExcavator, truck, mobile crane and tower crane, plus containers (10, 20 and 40 ft sizes), site cabins and waste skips. Site objects can be placed as a block of rows and columns, grouped so the block moves and turns as one. Drag the handles to resize while the length × width reads out live, or type the metres. Machines get a safety zone (blind-spot cones for the truck); cranes show their reach, and the tower crane its jib and counter-jib
🛣
Site roads at true widthSet the width and minimum radius, then click the turning points; each bend is fitted as an arc. A bend with no room for the minimum radius turns red and shows what fits, and any bend can be given a larger radius. Switch on m² to show the road area (width × centreline length) on the map
▦
AreasMaterial storage, waste, parking and no-go zones, each with its own colour and fill pattern so they stay distinct in print. Click the corners and double-click to close, label the area, and switch on its size in m² when you want it on the map. The area name can be hidden and its text size adjusted
✏
Lines and markupSolid, dashed, arrow, ellipse, rectangle, freehand, and text you type straight into the bar
💬
Text boxes and calloutsBoxed labels with several lines. A callout's arrow stays pinned to the spot you pointed at, so you can move the box out of the way without losing the target
⤢
Move, rotate, deleteSelect, drag, spin by the handle or delete — Shift snaps to 15°, and every edit undoes. Alt+click selects an item straight from any tool. Add breakpoints to lines, areas and roads with the + handles. Text, signs and machines keep the direction they were placed in when the map is rotated, and the export keeps it too. Text boxes, callouts and area text rotate too. Item opacity can be adjusted and the order of overlapping items changed
☷
Groups and bulk editsDrag a box around several, group them, then move, rotate, recolour or duplicate the lot as one
💾
GeoJSON storageAutosaved to the browser, plus import and export as a file
🌎
GeoTIFF export at plan scaleLock a scale (1:500, 1:1000…) so signs, text and resolution stay the same whatever your zoom. Deflate-compressed; export the whole drawing, the current view or just your selection

IK Drawing Tool Bookmarks bar: Ctrl+Shift+B (Win) / Cmd+Shift+B (Mac)
🔐 The tool runs entirely in your browser and sends nothing anywhere. It does not use your login or tokens; it only reads the page to find the map. Sketches are autosaved in this browser, per project, and never leave your machine.

🌐 Drawings autosave separately per project and per environment, so a sketch made on beta does not appear on app.infrakit.com. On a shared computer, use Clear or Save before handing it over. Use Save and Open to move it across.

⏳ Click the bookmark again to close it. Esc returns to map panning, Ctrl+Z undoes.

✋ In the drawing tools (except freehand) dragging with the mouse button held down moves the map. A single click adds a point, and a double-click finishes a polyline or area just like Enter.
